In memory of Sam 'Syd' Brimson a memorial football match will be held on the 28th of August 2011 at Avonmouth Football Club followed by a presentation evening at Shirehampton Football club. Both teams (Shire and Avonmouth) will be competing for a trophy in Sams Honour. This will be an annual event and will be held around Syds birthday to remember him and to keep raising money for such a wonderful charity.
We are raising money for, the charity of Sams familys choice, the Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund. They are a bristol based charity and they helped Sam out alot- physiotherapy, funding for driving lessons and three tests (he wasn't the best of drivers!!), etc.
So we'd like to give something back to them and more importantly give something back to Syd.
He was an amazing son, brother, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all. But one thing we will remember is the happy memories he bought to us and the way he impacted our lives.
This website is for those who cannot be there on the day but would still like to donate and for those who would like to donate anyway. Once all money has been collected at the end of the event we aim to make the donation through just giving so everyone can see how much we have all raised.
