Story
I am riding from Greenwich to Ashbourne on 20th July 2013 with a team of people to raise money the charity PSC-support.
Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), is a rare liver disease that has no cure. As well as liver deterioration (in some cases leading to liver failure and liver transplantation for those lucky enough to get a donor organ) P PSC sufferers often have associated autoimmune diseases and also have a significant increase in the risks of bowel, liver and pancreatic cancers.
My team mate, Jonathan Wilson's wife Sue suffers from this disease and with the help of PSC-support it gave them access to expert information on the disease, face-to-face Q&A sessions with leading research scientists and links to others in the same boat.
Run entirely by volunteers, the charity also promotes issues around PSC including organ donation. Your financial donation will enable PSC Support continue to make a real difference to families like the Wilson's.
Thank you for your donation today :o)
