The big dreadlock chop!
After 8 years of dreadlock dedication, the time has come to take the plunge and chop them off. I always said that when the time came, I would raise money for a charitable cause worthy of this monumentous loss of identity. To mark the occasion, I am asking my nearest and dearest to dig deep and contribute to raising as much money as possible for a charity that relies solely on charitable donations. The work of the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire air ambulence is invaluable, especially to rural communities like mine.
It would be great if I could reach my target, which would mean my dreadlocks would be worth their weight in gold - donate more and get involved in chopping them off yourselves (for those of you that are at the event). if you are lucky, I might even let you take one home to keep under your pillow.
The big chop will take place at the Brownlow Arms, High Marnham, Newark, Notts on Tuesday 1 December 2009 at 7.00pm. Come and have a pint or two and celebrate this savage makeover. All support is welcomed.
