Bupa Great North Run 2014 · 7 September 2014 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Hey all :)

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am doing the GNR to raise money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust with Kala.

As you all know it holds a very close place in both of our hearts. My amazingly brave friend came very close to loosing her life after having her gorgeous daughter to a very rare form of cancer called post-partum chorio-carcenoma. A cancer so rare it affects just one in 50,000 pregnant women. Although the cancer grew primarily in her placenta, more than 100 secondary cancers quickly spread to her lungs.

It was an extreamly scary time for a lot of us and I for one thought i was going to loose my best friend.

Kala being the fighter that she is battled through it all for Maesie and here she is 6 years later with another gorgeous baby boy and an amazing fiance and I am very proud to have her in my life.

We are trying to raise as much money as possible so any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading my page.

Lots of love

Sam
