Cots for Tots is the special care baby charity raising money to save and transform lives at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital Bristol, and Cots for Tots House, free 'home from home' accommodation for families of babies from Bristol, the South West, South Wales and beyond.

<div id="code" class="pad8" style="width: 14px; overflow: hidden;">.</div> <p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a very special place. &nbsp;The Unit cares for more than 600 babies every year from Bristol and all over the South West of England.</p> <p>It is the only unit in the South West equipped and able to provide life-saving treatment, care and surgery at the highest level.</p> <p>My Story...</p> <p>At 32 weeks I went into preterm labour with my identical twin boys, born by emergency C-Section they were immediatly rushed off to the intensive care unit as both boys had trouble breathing and were very small, Ryan weighed 3lb 8ozs and Daniel weighed 4lb 2ozs.</p> <p>We spent 4 weeks in special care, there was constant support, genuine care and the nurses there are fantastic.</p> <p>Peter Dunns Intensive Care nursery needs all the support and love we can offer back to them, they work so hard and do everything they can to help the parents as well as our tiny miracles.</p> <p>My beautiful baby boys are now 4 months old and thriving... im just glad St Micheals have such a great Unit.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">A bit about Cots For Tots</span></p> <p>The Appeal is raising &pound;1 million to provide 4 life-saving cots and a new&nbsp;intensive care&nbsp;Suite&nbsp; at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael&rsquo;s Hospital Bristol and a Family Accommodation Suite close by &ndash; and we need your help.</p> <p>Tiny babies, some born as early as 23 weeks, are cared for on the Unit &ndash; their little arms and legs are often no bigger than your little finger.</p> <p>Huge recent advances in the care of premature and newborn babies enable the unit is able to care for more and more babies creating an ever increasing demand for the specialist and life-saving neonatal care they provide.</p> <p>To meet this demand, The Cots for Tots Appeal is asking for your help to provide new state of the art equipment and facilities to support premature and newborn babies from Bristol and throughout the South West of England.</p> <p>Any donation is a great donation =)</p> <p>Thousands of little babies will forever be grateful xxx</p>
