Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Sam, I’m a 24 year old, ordinary person, just trying to make a difference in other peoples’ lives. Each year I try to do something for charity, this year, I’ve taken on a mammoth, arguably insane, task of running in a marathon. The Lakeland 100 mile ultramarathon to be exact, which is described as the toughest 100 mile marathon in the UK. The Lakeland 100 mile marathon consists of a circular route in the Lake District and includes in the region of 6300 meters of ascents. The continuous event comprises of rough mountain terrain, requires competitors to navigate their own way through the night and day and to complete the race in less than forty hours. You would be correct in assuming those I know think I’ve taken leave of my senses, in fact, I find myself questioning them everyday.

Quite frankly, it’s possible my hips may fall off. Again, I would be frowned at by those who know me, not to mention that I suffer what could politely be called a hindrance in my hips. Something that forces me to live with pain every day. I refuse to let this hiccup prevent me from taking on the 100 mile challenge. I intend to see it through to the end, no matter how many times I dislocate my hips!
