<p>Scott and I are doing this sponsored walk in aid of Compassion in World Farming (CIWF), because the charity takes a really balanced approach to animal welfare in farming, and has proved extremely successful in ending certain cruel factory farming practices. It was a charity about which my lovely mum felt very passionate.</p> <p>CIWF's successes include securing landmark agreements to outlaw the barren battery cage for egg-laying hens, narrow veal crates and sow stalls across Europe. Over 200 million animals throughout Europe are set to benefit each year as a result of its Good Award winners&rsquo; policies.</p> <li>We will be walking in Mum's memory.
