The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

I don't have a story to tell, I was lucky to have guidance during my youth but sadly hundreds of thousands of young people in the UK aren’t so fortunate and need our help.

They may be homeless, battling mental health problems, have been in trouble with the law, or have lost hope for the future after a long stretch of unemployment.  They face daily struggles that can seem insurmountable.

  • The Prince’s Trust aims to help 58,000 disadvantaged young people in the UK this year, giving them the confidence and skills to turn their lives around
  • Three in four young people on Prince’s Trust schemes move into work, training or education
  • Just £3 a month can help turn around a young life

This year, instead of running 26.2 miles I'll be cycling 45 miles - with zero training.  This is not a personal goal of mine.  I have no interest in cycling.  However, I do care about the future of the young people living in the UK and I want to help them achieve their goals.
