Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here is a summary of why I am raising money for the CLIC Sargent charity.

I am supporting this charity as I have been inspired so much by one of my current students, Charlotte Bell. Charlotte was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in 2009 whilst completing her GCSE's and shortly after being accepted on the Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management at Moulton College. Charlotte was treated straight away at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and shortly after began her radiotherapy. As a result of her treatment, Charlotte has been left with some long-term side effects including impaired sight, balance and coordination difficulties and weakness down the right side of her body which affects her in day-to-day life.

Charlotte is clearly a fighter and despite the significant trauma she has been through and the physical difficulties she faces, she reapplied for the Level 3 Diploma and began her futher education studies in September 2012 at Moulton College. I have had the pleasure of being Charlottes course tutor and manager for the past 9 months and I have to admit I have never met such a dedicated individual!

Charlotte is the most plesant girl and she always puts 110% effort into everyhting that she does! Charlotte is making excellent progress on the Level 3 Diploma and is working at Distinction* standard. On reflection of Charlotte's determination and success I would love to see more youngsters given a second chance at life just like Charlotte! CLIC Sargent provided such a fantastic amount of support to Charlotte and her family enabling them to care for Charlotte through such a difficult time in her life!

Being a Northamptonshire gal, Charlotte is the face of the current campaign - The World Record Sky Dive attempt for CLIC Sargent and she asked if I would join the team to try and beat the world record attempt and to support such a worthy cause!
