Story

We are raising money for Hinchingbrooke's children's ward - Holly Ward. Over the last couple of years they have helped us tremendously and we can not fault anything they do and have nothing but praise for the nurse's & doctors there.

We are raising money by climbing climbing the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis on 14th May. We are definetly not the fittest people in the world so it is going to take a lot of physical and mental training. We are doing this as our son, Alfie, was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he was 10 weeks old after suffering from his first seizure when he was just 8 weeks old. At first we weren't really sure what was going on, but the nurse's always reassured us and helped us at a very emotional time. To date he has had 30+ seizures and I have lost count of hospital visits, but at every single one of those visits we have always felt at ease. We have also had a lot of help from our family friends, but unfortunately, they don't have charities.

The money raised will hopefully go towards new equipment on the ward for both the children and nurses. This is our way of saying a big thank you for all their help.
