Fun Walk in Lloyd Park, Croydon · 13 June 2010

Samaritans of Croydon and Sutton have been helping people for 43 years through the 65 trained listeners who answer more than 20,000 calls a year. Many are from people in distress and despair with around 1700 from those thinking of suicide. Some of these callers are still at school.

Samaritans is available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

Our branch needs your support to keep running and provide this service, so we've decided to have a fun day walking around Lloyd Park, Croydon, in order to raise some funds.

Walkers aim to complete 7 miles (and 24 yards), as we're a 24/7 service, or a much as they can on the day.
