JAMBO!!!  I MADE IT :D !!!

 

On 30th May 2011 Myself and 6 others climbed Kilimanjaro in aid of two very worthy causes. Marie Curie Cancer Care and MK Dons Sport and Education Trust.

 

Marie Curie Cancer Care - cares for people with Cancer and other life limited illnesses. Their services are always free of charge to patients and their families and their charity is best known for its network of Marie Curie Nurses working in the community to provide end of life care for patients in their own homes. Their work is done all across the UK, they also have 9 hospices, conduct palliative care research and fund scientific teams investigating the causes of and treatments for cancer. They are joining up with the Football League this year as their charity of the year and we are pleased to support this partnership

 

MK Dons Sport & Education Trust (SET) aims to strive in four key areas: education, health and wellbeing, sports participation and social inclusion. They work within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas as a lasting legacy of the work of the football club.

 

It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but definitely  worthwhile!! The team of porters that came with us were the nicest group of people you will ever meet, and without them, we would not have made it to the top!! If you ever get the opportunity to do it DO NOT turn it down. The memories will be with me for life!!
