<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>This year I turn 34, and in a burst of apparent maturity, I decided I'd ask for a moratorium on recipe books, DVDs and glittery things and instead request that what you might have spent on a present to go to a cause where it'll make much more of a difference.</p> <p>The Eve Appeal raises funds to research and combat gynaecalogical cancers - the ones in places not mentioned in polite society.</p> <p>Every year one million women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer worldwide. In the UK, 18,000 women are diagnosed and nearly 7,500 women die every year. But awareness, funding and research is at a much lower level than it is for other forms of cancer. Like other cancers, most are found in women over the age of 50 - but cervical cancer is most common in women of our age - 30 to 45.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
