Story

On the 13 May this year I am registered to take part in the Etape Caledonia 2012 road cycle. This is a closed road cycle event of some 81miles in and around the Pitlochry, Loch Rannoch and Aberfeldy area of Perthshire. I had originally intended completing the ride as a personal fitness target but when I heard about the charity Nordoff Music Therapy, through President Jim Naismith of Renfrew Rotary Club, I decided to try and raise some funds for the charity as well as enjoy the event myself.

Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland is the largest music therapy charity in the country. They provide music therapy to both children and adults who find themselves isolated from the world due to disability, illness, autism or through other traumatic experiences. They are not state funded and require to raise all of their operating costs independently.

I would be more than grateful if you could contribute to the worthwhile work that the therapists do for those among us who find communication in our world a daunting and sometimes frightening experience.

The charity have a Scottish web site www.tartanclef.org . Please visit the site if you can. I will do my best to complete the ride even if I have to carry the bike!!

Yours in friendship,

PS Please send this on to anyone you know who would like to help.
