24 Hour Three Peaks Challenge · 29 July 2011

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page! :-).

I am going to climb three of the biggest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours for the Alzheimer's Society. Simple. That's Ben Nevis (4,409ft), Scafell Pike (3,208ft), and Mount Snowdon (3,560ft), from July 29-31.

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers across the UK. There are 750,000 people in the country with dementia and my Grandma was one of these. I want to complete this challenge in her memory and for everyone who is affected by dementia and the carers who do an amazing job looking after their loved ones.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Evolution Outdoors for organising The 3 Peaks Challenge. And a big THANK YOU to the Alzheimer's Society for their superb work.
