<p style="text-indent: 0px !important; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 1.35em; margin-left: 0in; line-height: 20px; font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; padding: 0px !important;">I have decided to embark on a 4 day 212km cycle through beautiful hills of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the 8th wonder of the world, the 260 sq. km, Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania to raise funds for charity. We all know that the food shortage and water scarcity in the world has created pockets of poverty, disease and malnutrition especially in Africa. This is turns leads to resources being diverted from projects such as infra structure to supporting impoverished areas with basic necessities. IN Kenya this has become a great hindrance. The influx of over a million refugees has also lead to resources being depleted the food and water resources. This is the reason why I have decided to raise funds for the charities 1.       FOOD FOR LIFE 2.       WATER OF LIFE BOTH BASED IN KENYA. THE CYLCING EVENT HAS BEEN HELD OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIFTH EVENT. THE FIRST 2 WERE IN KENYA, THEN IN INDIA, NETHERLANDS AND NOW IN TANZANIA.  CURRENTLY FOOD FOR LIFE IN KENYA FEEDS OVER 3000 CHILDREN WITH A HOT MEAL EVERY DAY AND THIS WILL BE FOR LIFE. THE WATER FOR LIFE TRUST HAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED 212 WATER BOREHOLES IN VARIOUS SEMI ARID REGIONS OF KENYA. THIS HAS SUPPORTED 1.      CHILDREN GOING TO SCHOOL AND NOT WALKING LONG DISTANCES TO LOOK FOR AND COLLECT WATER.  2.      SANITATION – HAS INCREASED TREMENDOUSLY.  THIS HELPS IN DISEASE CONTROL SO CHILDREN ARE ABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL,  MORTALITY RATE HAS GONE DOWN. IF THEY GET EDUCATED THIS HELPS IN NATION BUILDING, INCREASE AWARENESS AND ALSO MANPOWER THAT IS RQUIRED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATION.  3.      WOMEN HAVE CLEAN WATER TO PREPARE FOOD FOR THE FAMILIES.  4.      EACH BOREHOLE GIVES WATER FOR IRRIGATION, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND POULTRY FARMING.  5.      EACH BORE HOLES GIVES GOOD HOPE TO APPROXIMATELY 200-300 FAMILIES EACH OF 6 PEOPLE THAT EQUATES TO 1500 HEADS. AND COWS, GOATS, ETC ANIMALS – IN TOTAL APPROXIMATELY 6 PER HOUSEHOLD ARE NOW GRAZING HAPPILY. THEY ALSO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED MILK FOR CONSUMPTION.      THE FUNDS RAISED WILL INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE GETTING A HOT MEAL FOR LIFE TO 6000. AND ANOTHER 20 BOREHOLES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN VARIOUS AREAS.
