Story

A team of 5 from Sanderson Weatherall's Newcastle Office, together with 30 other North East companies have taken up the gauntlet set down by Dickinson Dees law firm to harness their entrepreneurial minds in aid of raising funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.

The concept is simple – each team is provided with a cheque for the sum of £100 on 1 August 2009 and over a period of 12 weeks, set to the challenge to raise as much cash as possible, whether investing, spending or otherwise.  There is only 1 rule………...it must be LEGAL!!!!

The competition ends at 11.59 pm on 31st October 2009 at which point all the teams must submit all funds raised together with the original £100 to St Oswald’s.

To date, team members John Haley, Andrew Carphin, Sarah Ross, Liz McLoughlin and Anthony Tubbs have arranged a number of ongoing and one off events with an aim to raise an infinite amount - as much as possible.  Events include:

12 September 2009 - SW Cannon Ball Run

- 20 September 2009 - Sarah, Liz and Andy undertake the Great North Run
