I'm raising money for Prostate Cancer as my husband Jim was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2011 which came as a shock to us all as he wasn't necessary feeling unwell at the time.  Following a chance conversation with a friend and a visit to the doctor we found out that the cancer was well advanced and to minimise the risk of it spreading elsewhere, he had an operation in March 2012 to take his prostate out.  

Jim is fortunately now fully recovered with no sign of the cancer having spread but things could have been different ...... 

He had excellent care at the Priory Hospital in Birmingham and I think now is the time to repay that care and help Prostate Cancer UK with their research, raising awareness of this type of cancer and the help they give to their patients.

Both Jim and I are cycling the 150 miles Coast 2 Coast together in June and we're out on our bikes practising whenever we can and we intend to finish it one way or another.
