HI   FOLKS

This year when my grandson was born I decided to learn to swim so I could enjoy the water with him. I have never been able to swim and have a fear of deep water since I nearly drowned at 8 years old. So Jane set out to teach me this spring. I was fine till I had to swim in the deep end, but with Jane’s help and encouragement I did and achieved 12 lengths of the spectrum pool .I have decided to do the swim for the children and sponsor Cherry trees and Home Start I am aiming to do 18 lengths of the spectrum pool on September 5

Why 18 you may ask? Well I had a special friend who went to cherry trees and it would have been his 18 birthday this year and I wanted to do something to remember him. So what better way than to raise money for some where that he enjoyed going.

Hi folks just to let you all know I've done my swim today 1st September, I did it in 25mins and the first time I have done it in the pool without Jane.. I just want to thank evryone who's given, supported , encouraged me along the way, But a big thanks to Jane my swimming instructor she has worked so hard and given her time freely and been so supportive , with out you Jane this would never have been possible Thanks.
