Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon (yikes!) on behalf of my good friend Gail.

I have known Gail since our first day of primary school...and we remained friends ever since. Gail found out last year that she had Malignant Melanoma and had many operations, radiotherapy, trial drugs and in her final weeks went through chemotherapy. Throughout all of this Gail remained positive and was a total inspiration. Sadly Gail lost her fight for life and slipped away peacefully on 9th March 2012.  I am totally honoured to have been her friend and will miss her dearly.  I am eternally grateful that she didn't know how to tie her shoelaces on the first day of Primary 1, asked me, and  I was able to help. Love ya Paily Poo.

As well as getting a wee bit fitter I am raising money for MacMillian Cancer Support. An amazing charity that supports cancer patients and families through what can only be described as the very worst of times.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
