Story

I was originally diagnosed with cancer in April 2004 and had the usual 12 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We thought this would be only time I'd need to visit the CDC at Shrewsbury Hospital but alas this was not to be. It came back in October 2005 and by April 2007 I'd had a further 3 recurrances.

I'm still receiving treatment and visit the CDC every three weeks. Over the years I've seen how hard everyone works and the hurdles they've had to overcome when there have been more patients than they have room for, having to use spare rooms at the opposite end of the hospital, and running franticaly between each so I know first hand how much the new center is needed.

At times I didn't think I'd reach my 50th birthday but by the hard work of Mr Hinton, Dr Agrawal, and their wonderful teams and nurses I'll be celebrating this milestone on 10th March. HOORAH!!

To celebrate, I'm doing a sponsored tandem skydive on 28th April to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
