I guess that ,at sometime or another, someone , somewhere is affected by cancer. I lost my father thirty years ago and always promised that when I had the time I would work, in whatever way possible, to support those whose lives are affected by this tragic illness.

I guess I was lucky and we were able to look after Daddy at home, but many are not so lucky and hospice care provides the care and support they need. The care patients receive is incredibly important to them & this will be the start of my efforts this year.

I will be treking for 6 days across the deep Sahara dessert . They'll be no roads,no drinking water,no toilets. Just me my backpack, a few nomadic camels and a group of people as committed to this cause as I.
