Brighton Marathon 2016 · 17 April 2016 ·
Two years ago I completed my first marathon in aid of Cancer Research and was delighted to complete the course and raise funds for such a worthwhile charity. I was determined to do it again but with improved fitness and a better time.
Here we are, one week away from the Brighton marathon and the anxiety is rising. The training has not gone to plan and despite the temptation and many helpful comments urging me to pull out, I fully intend to give it my best shot. I know from experience that when the going gets tough the thought of raising funds for a charity I believe in will help me.
As before my charity of choice is cancer related, in recognition of the those in my life who have fought or are still fighting the disease. I'm aiming to raise funds for CLIC Sargent which provides such a fantastic service for young people and their families following the diagnosis of cancer.
I realise that at this time of year there are many requests for support and sponsorship but any amount will be most gratefully received
