As an animal lover and qualified groomer, I have always been passionate about helping animals in need.

The Stubbington Ark animal shelter is an amazing place and on a recent visit I was deeply moved by the staff - their dedication and love for the animals shone through.

However, I could immediately see areas where help was needed; in particular the grooming area was badly in need of updating.

I was surprised to learn that the Stubbington Ark receives very little funding from the RSPCA headquarters, and that they are completely self-funded to raise the £3,500 a day needed to run the centre. 

The funds I am planning to raise will  go towards a booster bath, electric grooming table, new blaster/drier and grooming tools. 

All these items will enhance the wellbeing of the animals whilst making a pleasant and safe working environment for the staff.
