In the summer of 2017, I will be visiting Malawi, one of the top 3 poorest countries in the world, for three weeks with several other students from my school to help support the Zikomo trust with their work in education. The trust works support to schools and children across Malawi, through such projects as awarding educational scholarships for orphans, and providing a daily meal for over 100 at Malama Feeding Centre in the Thyolo district. The trust has had longstanding connections with my school over the past decade and was founded by a teacher from GSAl itself. 

In order to fundraise for the trust, I am taking part in a 10k mud run on the 18th March, where I will face obstacles, like ice crawls and spider webs, challenges and a lot of mud!
