Even if you can't make it to the venue to support the event itself, you can still make a difference by donating whatever you can afford, to help make our magical weekend a success and raise a phenomenal amount of funds for such a worthwhile charity. We are sending Santa and his Reindeer to the shopping park on Saturday 10th December 10-4 and Sunday 11th 11-5 to have their pictures taken in his sleigh with visitors. The event is in aid of the Duke of Edinburgh Award in the North West, and there will be a range of fundraising activities taking place including............ Petting the Reindeer, Tombola, Face Painting, Guess the weight of the Christmas Pudding, and much more. Our Charity works with any young person who wants a structured, personal challenge, with Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. The Award both improves their personal development and is seen by colleges, universities and employers as the most valuable achievement to add to their academic success. We are currently working with 20.000 young people in the North West and, with the current economic and social issues, feel it is more important than ever to offer opportunities that take young people away from the temptations of despair – by showing them instead the virtues of self-improvement, team work and helping the community.
