UBMC climb the height of Everest · 7 March 2012

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.

Story

On Wednesday 7th March we are taking part with the University of Birmingham Mountaineering Club in an attempt to climb the height of Everest at an indoor climbing wall. We will be competing in teams to raise money for Mountain Rescue England & Wales.

Mountain Rescue is an entirely voluntary body and rely on the support and generocity of the public to maintain this valuable community service. They have certainly been there for a few of our members when we needed them. So dig deep people, this is a truely inspirational cause, and it is something that everyone can help raise money for.
