I started running aged 49 in order to be fit on my 50th birthday! The opportunity to run in the Tidworth 10K on November 1st seemed an apt way to thank the staff at the hospital for the excellent care that I received while undergoing treatment for breast cancer in 2006. I particularly want to thank Shirley Holmes, the Breast Care Nurse Specialist and all the staff in the Radiology Department.

As a former Paediatric Sister in London I know how important it is for the hospital to provide state of the art facilities and adequate accommodation for the relatives of sick children. I hope that you will give me your encouragement and help me to do my bit in raising funds for this worthwhile cause.
