Dear all

I completed the Marathon on Sunday ,it was a fantastic experience & I really enjoyed but it got very tough at 20 miles -the last 6 were extremely hard work as my legs became very heavy & I felt rather light headed .However I came in at 4hours 57mins which was below my target time of 5 hours .I have attached a picture of how rough I looked after the 26miles but with a well deserved medal!!!

I am aiming to raise money for Coeliac UK. Both my father and I have coeliac disease .Coeliac Disease is caused by an intolerence to Gluten found in wheat ,barley oats and rye .If untreated the disease can lead to osteoporosis,intestine cancer and stunted growth .

Coeliac disease can be treated by following a Gluten free diet. Coeliac UK is the only charity which supports the disease and it receives no government funding so they rely on donations

There is evidence to suggest that the prevalence of Coeliac Disease is 1 in 100 people but it is regularly mis-diagnosed
