Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are a group of friends who run regularly together who decided to put our feet to good use. We are running the British 10K in London on 10th July, 2011 for Anthony Nolan, a blood cancer charity. Please sponsor us!

Why Anthony Nolan?

The 13 year old son of our dear friend Debbie is battling leukaemia. Joe was first diagnosed in 2000 at the age of 2, again in 2007 when he was 9, and for a third time at the end of 2010. He has just had a bone marrow transplant from the Anthony Nolan donor register and now we are pleased to report, recovering at home. Joe raises money for leukaemia research by participating in the London Bikeathon annually, but this year he is unable to participate so we will raise the money on his behalf!

Patients like Joe rely on the Anthony Nolan donor register to find a matched donor, unfortunately many people are not as lucky as Joe. Anthony Nolan is busy recruiting more donors for a larger database to save more lives!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
