Right now, children are sitting in crumbling classrooms, or no classroom at all. Mothers are giving birth without a clinic nearby and drinking dirty water. Your donation builds real things. Classrooms. Wells. Health Clinics and every single one of them is still standing, and you can build more..

Story

Well gosh, I am off in a few hours....

Thank you so much to EVERYONE who has helped me in some way - whether it be a donation, clothing, equipment, or support!!!  It is all invaluable and much appreciated.

Don't think I'll be able to send updates whilst I'm away, but I'm looking forward to catching up with each and everyone of you on my return.

Incase anyone is free, it's always lovely to be met at the airport - I arrive back on Weds 26th August at 12.25pm!!  Maybe I'll see someone there?!! |(EK015 Dubai to Gatwick)

Look forward to sharing my adventure with you all

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I have decided that I need to do something worthwhile and give a little back to those less fortunate than me.  So........In just a couple of weeks time, on 1st August I will be travelling out to Ghana in West Africa to live in a rural community for a month with a non-profit charity organsation called Village By Village.  During my month I will be helping with the digging and construction of wells, latrines and other buildings such as schools and libraries for a village in the remotest and poorest parts of the country, helping to bring sanitisation and education to areas that do not have these simple luxuries.  I am told I will also be able to help out with teaching English to the local children.

In order to do this I must raise £850, every penny of which is invested directly into the charity.  The money is spent in front of your eyes on things such as blocks, cement or wages for local tradesman hired to help with the project.

If you've managed to get this far I am sure you'll agree its a great cause.  It would mean a lot if you could manage to make a donation of any size to Village bB Village.  If you don't have an account with Just Giving, it literally won't take you more than a couple of minutes to set one up. However if you don't want to have an account but you would still like to contribute or ask a question about my trip, please feel free to email me at watsham@hotmail.com  and we can sort something out.  If you would like to know more about Village By Village visit their site at http://www.villagebyvillage.org.uk/

Once again, thanks for taking some time out of your busy day to read this.  I have a really tight schedule, so please sponsor me NOW!!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Village By Village gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
