Thank you everyone for all of your very generous donations!!! It is awesome to reach the £500 target! And it really helped to motivate me on the day, to just keep on running!
Berlin was amazing and without a doubt, one of the coolest things I've ever done! The endless sea of people was amazing, it was a beatuiful day with a blue sky, and the long flat roads of Berlin were fantastic to run with the 40,000 others!
I finished in 4 hours and 14 minutes! Which was well within the time I had wanted.
Thank you! Thank you!
Sarah :)
Hi Everyone!!
I'm finally going to run the marathon which I've talked about doing for several years now (and I've thought about doing it for even longer....). I remeber being really young and seeing my cool aunty Nette and my uncles pound the pavements and run long distances and marathons, and I was inspired to run since then.... I made a promise to myself that I'd get there before turning the big "Three Zero", and so 2 months out from my 30th birthday, I'm going to run the Berlin 2009 Marathon!
I've been training really hard and the goal is to hopefully finish without stopping in under 5 hours! I hope I can get there... When I run, I always feel so grateful to have legs and limbs which can take me anywhere! So I feel that I have to do something to help those less fortunate who don't have the choice to just walk out the door and run, as I do.
No pressure to give anything... but I think this is a really good cause and so if you feel willing or able to assist "Able Child Africa", which is a charity asssiting disabled children and young people in Africa, then please feel free to give... :)
Thanks..... and wish me luck!!! Sarah xox :)
