Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Sunday the 21st August 2022 will mark Hope's 7th birthday and every year we like to do something positive to celebrate Hope. This year I've decided to run the Paisley 10k as it coincided perfectly with her birthday - as soon as I saw the date I knew it was a sign.

SANDS really were a lifeline for us in those early days, helping us to navigate our way through our grief and hold our hands on the rollercoaster ride that is pregnancy after loss.

Over the years our relationship with SANDS has changed - I now befriend at our parent support meetings, I'm part of the Glasgow SANDS committee and hospital liaison volunteer for QEUH. We'd love to say that things have changed dramatically since we lost Hope and although we've seen a reduction in the total number of babies who die each day in the UK before, during or soon after birth there is still much work to be done.

We're aware this is a very challenging time for so many and please know that any donation would be so gratefully received.

Lots of love,

Sarah, Barry, Hope, Olivia & Finn xxx
