My name is Sarah, and in 2003, I was lucky enough to receive my second kidney transplant.  Not only has my transplant given me a brand new lease of life, it has also enabled me to compete for my transplant hospital, Addenbrookes, Cambridge, at various sporting competitions both in the UK and overseas.  Such events not only encourage transplant recipients to lead an active lifestyle, but also serve to give hope and encouragement to those less fortunate at present, and promotes awareness of organ donation.

On Sunday 2nd May 2010, David and I will be climbing Scafell Pike, an 18 mile hike, reaching a height of 3236ft, in order to raise much needed funds that will enable Addenbrookes Transplant Games Team to carry on competing in the various sporting competitions held around the UK.
