Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi. I'm Sidney's foster mum, Sarah. Sidney is a scrumptious 4 year old scruffy terrier who was found as a stray in February and taken to Newport pound.

Poor Sidney hasn't had the best of luck this year - he was abandoned by his owners and then we he came into Hope Rescue's care we found that he had a cataract in his right eye. When his eye was assessed they found that his lens was also torn adn without the operation Sidney would go blind. Also the tear in his eye must have been very painful.

But now Sidney's luck has changed for the better. A lovely veterinary surgery in Bristol offered to do the operation for £1,000 instead of the usual £3,000 and he is there at the moment recovering from a very successful op. We at Hope Rescue are very grateful to the vets for their generosity and fabulous care and treatment of Sidney whilst he is with them.

To try and raise some funds towards Sidney's operation I am going to be doing a sponsored BUNGEE JUMP on Sunday 1st May in Windsor. I have loved looking after Sidney as his foster-mum - he is an absolutely fabulous character - and he deserves every chance of a happier life in the future.

As a registered charity we rely entirely on donations which is why we're doing this specific fundraiser for Sidney.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

UPDATE - I got almost to windsor today and got a phone call to say the jump had been cancelled because of high winds : ( Needless to say I was absolutely gutted and not least because I'd poured myself into a sports bra and very nerdy trainers. Never fear though I will be rebooking my jump for the next possible available date - it takes more than a little wind to put me off helping my Sidney. xx
