At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As you know our wonderful mum has had Alzheimers for 12 years now and although she is still with us I have been thinking for some time now of doing something in her memory as such, as in remembering the person that she was, before this awful illness took her from us.

I have so many amazing memories of her, she was my mum but also my best friend and I miss her every single day

It has been really tough for many different reasons and we have had to come to terms with losing mum while she is still with us. There is very little funding for Alzheimers and also very lttle help and suppport for people with the illness and their families, by doing this we can only hope that other families don't have to cope with the things we have for the past 12 years.

.

For those of you that know me you will realise how massive this is, seeing as the most cycling I normally do is a leisurely ride along the seafront with the kids!

But I will have my husband and brother to help me as they have kindly agreed to do it with me and hopefully give me all the encouragement I am going to certainly need!

Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
