Kilimanjaro 19th - 29th September 2013

Well I have taken the plunge and signed up to climb Kilimanjaro and raise, with your help, money for Hammer Out charity!

Hammer Out Brain Tumours is a local charity which helps those affected by brain tumours providing support and care for the person with a tumour and their families. 

If you sponsor me just £5 you will have given enough to provide a family with a recent brain tumour diagnosis with a Patient and Family support pack. This will help them understand more about brain tumours, the treatments and the support on offer. Amazing!

Did you know .......

Approximately 16,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour in the UK every year

A brain tumour is indiscriminate and can affect any age group regardless of lifestyle and is the second most common cause of death from cancer in the under 40's 

In children it is the second most common childhood cancer

Brain tumour research is on of the least funded areas of medical research
