Walk the Talk Team Event - Climbing Mount Snowdon · 22 May 2018

Mental Health UK is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We are made up of four organisations based in each of the four nations of the UK, working together to improve mental health.

Story

Firstly, thank you so much for visiting our JustGiving home page.  We work for Lloyds Banking Group and are proud to be working in partnership with Mental Health UK in 2017 and 2018.  The Financial Planning Account Manager team are delighted to be fundraising for the Bank's Charity of the Year by participating in a "Walk the Talk" challenge.

One in four of us in the UK will be affected by a mental health problem in any given year, and of these around four million will also struggle with their financial wellbeing.  This statistic brings it to life that one person in our own team could be or has already been affected by a mental illness.  We are extremely motivated to achieve this challenge to raise funds to support those who may be touched by mental health issues both now and in the future whilst also promoting the benefits of health and wellbeing.

We have set ourselves a challenge of climbing up and down Mount Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales using the Llanberis Path on Tuesday 22nd May 2018 which is a total of 14k and should take us approximately 9 hours.

We have varying fitness levels within the team so "preparation is everything" to ensure we all complete the challenge and we will keep you updated on our training progress.

Your support is so important so thank you for your donation as this will certainly help to spur us on when we are battling against the elements and pushing through the pain barriers of sore feet and other aching limbs I am sure! :-)

Our fundraising will continue to help fund the Mental Health & Money Advice; the first UK wide advice service dedicated to helping people improve their financial and mental health.  They provide clear, practical advice and support for anyone affected by mental health and money issues.

Thank you for your support, it is very much appreciated.
