Sarah Glynn is raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity

I am raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance, a cause close to my heart and your donations will make a huge difference to many lives.
When my sister had an accident with a horse Midlands Air Ambulance were quick to respond, stabilising her and then air lifting her to Bristol Frenchay for emergency care and surgery. With her numerous injuries, including a fractured skull, broken jaw and broken nose, she needed immediate attention which the team at Midlands Air Ambulance were able to provide. Without their swift response and ability to transport her to a hospital able to deal with these types of injuries, all within the Golden Hour, the outcome would have been very different for my sister and family. If a patient reaches hospital within the 60 minutes after their injury their chances of survival are dramatically increased. That is why the rapid response of the Midlands Air Ambulance is so vital in an emergency situation.
Midlands Air Ambulance is the only Air Ambulance that covers Gloucestershire and is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances. They also serve the communities of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands, constituting the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK.
Midlands Air Ambulance receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Each Midlands Air Ambulance mission costs £2,500 and in excess of £6.5 million is needed each year to keep its three air ambulances operational, which is donated entirely by the public and local businesses.
