Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Since February 2008 I have a number of health problems, including Thrombosis - DVT (blood clots) and Pulmonary embolism, and have had plenty of hospital visits / stays.&nbsp; I was finally diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome on 7 January 2011.&nbsp; I am doing a sponsored walk on Sunday 15 May 2011 to raise money for the Hughes Syndrome Foundation and all money raised will go to help towards the continuation of Research into Hughes Syndrome.&nbsp; I just want to say a huge thank you to&nbsp;anyone that has so far donated and to those who will be donating and that I really appreciate it.&nbsp; THANK YOU X :-)</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
