I may have mentioned (!) that I am taking part in Derby Sprint Triathalon on September 13th 2009. For those that know me, I have only recently taken to this sporting lark so a 400m swim, 18K bike ride, and 5K run all in one go is quite a challange for me!
Its been over 3 years since my mum very sadly died of cancer, and since then our family has tried to raise some money for Treetops hospice each year. Treetops provide care and support for patients and families of the terminally ill, and were a great help to our whole family. The last few years we have raised money through drinking and hogs roasts, so this time I thought I would do something a bit more healthy!
