Story
I have battled with depression and anxiety for the last few years and I find the winter a particularly difficult time with the colder weather and shorter days. I know through my journey that exercise is really beneficial to me but when I'm at a low point even getting out of bed and dressed is a huge struggle. My depression has been rearing it's ugly head again recently as my husband and I struggle with financial issues and the lost of one of my best friends Hannah.
I was inspired to take part in R.E.D as I want to beat the winter blues and cope with the loss of my friend in a more postive and productive way. As many people know I haven't run since dreaded cross country at school so I intend to combined various exercise through January to complete this challenge. This will include Yoga, Zumba, Walking and Gym Sessions - I'm just keen to get moving, raise awareness and money!
Any money given will help people who like me have an ongoing battle with mental health issues.
