Story

This is it! There's no going back and although I'm quaking in my runners, I wouldn't want to! On the 22nd of April 2012 I'm actually going to be running the London Marathon!!

I was fortunate enough to be given a place running for Women's Aid, an amazing Bristol based national charity that aims to put an end to domestic violence and abuse against women and children. They run the National Domestic Violence Helpline in partnership with Refuge, which offers a service for women experiencing domestic violence, their family, friends, colleagues and others calling on their behalf.

They do really great work - find out more about them www.womensaid.org.uk

I've pledged to raise £2,000 - which is almost as daunting as the running itself, but I'm determined to crack it and maybe even go beyond it! Fundraising has already started and there's loads more planned...watch this space!

This page is a little under construction, so I'll make sure I update it soon with some photos and other interesting gubbins.

In the meantime, thanks so much for sponsoring me and donating to Women's Aid. Ticking a life goal for me and raising valuable funds for WA - everyone's a winner!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
