SKYDIVE UPDATE:

My daughter, Lottie, and I had originally planned to raise money for Kent Cancer Trust by doing skydives on Sunday 2nd May. However, after twice postponing our skydives, due to adverse weather conditions, Tuesday 18th May was third time lucky for us - we got to hurl ourselves out of an aeroplane 12,000 feet above terra firma. What an incredible experience! As I hurtled towards the ground at an alarming rate (approx 150mph or 20 storeys per second) during the freefall, all my faith was placed in my wonderful, and very experienced, instructor, Clem. The freefall is a total assault on all the senses, so when the he opened our parachute, the first thing I noticed was how calm and quiet it became. We were then able to speak, and I could appreciate the spectacular views we had of the Kentish countryside.

All too soon (about 7 minutes), it was time for us to land. It's only after you've jumped out of the plane, that you're told you'll be landing in a field of sheep, which is littered with 'presents' they've left behind. You've guessed it, my right hand went into one. Luckily, Lottie not only made a perfect landing, but also remained dung-free!
