Uncle Chris was a fireball of  a man, tall, strong, loud, funny, Devonian through and through.  Full of surprises and giver of the best hugs ever.

He was taken from us too fast and too quickly at the start of 2016; and in September I took up running.  Buoyed by my new found sporty approach, i agreed to join my friend Jan and her daughter Lucy to cycle 46 miles......which is utter madness, but rather fitting in memory of Uncle Chris.  he would be absolutely hysterical at the thought of me doing this.  I am most of the time too.

My brother, Edward and my husband John are cycling 100 miles.  But they are already proper cyclists.

We need all the help we can get.  Especially me.
