Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you know the very thought of me running a half marathon is an achievement itself - 13 (& a little bit) miles without a glass of wine for a start!  However, running I am, and as this is the first time (and likely, very much the last!), I've asked anyone to sponsor me, may I ask you dig deep in your pockets and donate to such a great charity, Age Concern/Help the Aged.  A work colleague kindly told me that the really tricky part will be after the 10 mile stage (thanks Jezza!) so even if you sponsor me for the extra 3 and a little bit miles (who put in the little bit?!), I would be really, really grateful. 

Not to bore you too much, the reason I have chosen to support Aged Concern/Help the Aged is that we all have at least one person in our lives who, although much older than ourselves has been an inspiration, be it a Grandparent, Great Aunt, neighbour.  As a society we are probably all a bit rubbish at appreciating the great things many eldery people do and have done for us to live our lives so comfortably, when many are living themselves below the poverty line.
