Story
Becky, Sarah and a large group of friends have decided to trade our bank holiday frivolities for the much more meaningful and worthy challenge of cycling from London to Paris in support of Saddle For Stroke.
We will be peddling out the miles alongside the Traffords who set up Saddle For Stroke in memory of their wonderful mother Tina, who suffered a devastating stroke aged just 53 despite being fit and healthy. Lucy, Katie and their father, Richard, have rallied together a gang of family and friends to support them in their aim to raise awareness and money for the Stroke Association to further the charity’s research and the care it offers for the people and families affected by strokes.
Setting out on Friday 26th May, we aim to cover 100 km a day in order to dash along the Champs Elysees (if I’m being realistic, probably more like crawl than dash) before reaching our grand finish by the Eiffel Tower on Sunday 28th May. It’s scarily soon, we have yet to cycle anywhere near 100km, let alone 300km... (Becky only bought a bike last week)
