The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Thank you for clicking on to my Just Giving page.....

Back in July 2009, my lovely nana Audrey Stuff was admitted to the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted for respite care. However, sadly just over two weeks later, after a long battle suffering with leukaemia, she passed away during her sleep. It was an extremely difficult time for our family and all her friends, but all I can say is what a wonderful place the Hospice really is. They made her feel at ease and comfortable and the staff cared for her every need - they really couldn't have helped her enough.

Sadly last year, my dad was diagnosed with having bowel cancer too, so I thought there is no time like the present to do something productive and get out those trainers!

Therefore I want  to raise funds for this cause as many patients (both young and old) admitted to the Hospice are suffering with cancer.

So I ask, please support this cause because the Hospice relies heavily on people’s kind donations to enable making those final days easier for the patient and their loved ones.

Thank you in advance :) xxx
