I am walking a marathon on the 22nd June, and am hoping to raise some money towards our £2m target.  All the staff, students and alumni of our University are trying to raise funding to buy an MRI PET scanner for the region.

If we are able to buy this scanner, it will mean better diagnosis and treatment of all kinds of diseases for people who live in Yorkshire. It'll be the first facility of its kind in the county.

We're nearly there, and are hoping that this big walk will be the final piece in the funding puzzle!
