Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My little sister Georgina will be the big 1-6 this coming November and twelve years ago she was diagnosed with the rare genetic condition 'Rett Syndrome'. (http://www.reverserett.org.uk/rett-syndrome a summery of what exactly Retts is) After extensive scientific research, the possibility of a cure is on the horizon. Work in the states is progressing at an incredible rate but to bring it over to the UK an extensive amount of funds need to be raised. Whilst the hard work and dedication of other families has already managed to raise an incredible amount I believe it's my responsibility, also, to help out.

The Adidas 5K challenge (doesn't sounds like a lot but given my state of fitness will not be easy!) allows you to raise funds and donate to the charity of your choice. I know the event is only three weeks away so I know I'm cutting things fine hence the low fundraising target but (in the wise words of Tesco) 'every little helps'. I hope you all appreciate how much this means to me, my family and more importantly Georgina as well the many others in the same situation.

On behalf of Georgina and the other girls out there suffering with Retts I beg you to donate whatever you can, whether it be £1 or 1p, in order to bring us one step closer to that life changing cure.

Thank you
